Specialized is seeking a motivated and talented Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering Team in our Boulder, CO office. This role, reporting to the Data and Analytics Team, will be responsible for understanding business analytics needs and requirements and then turning those requirements into optimized and highly available data pipelines to be used throughout the business to facilitate deeper analysis and reporting. The role will focus on expanding our data warehouse and data pipelines through use of our ELT stack. To be successful in this role, applicants must be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and learning on the job. Data engineering experience and strong communication skills are a must. In this role, you will be exposed to a wide variety of cloud-based best-of-breed technologies and help accelerate the growth of analytics at a leading brand in the outdoor industry.   Essential Skills Highly organized, ability to stay on track and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with competing priorities Demonstrated experience in designing and developing reliable and scalable ELT/ETL pipelines from the ground up and maintaining/supporting existing systems Empower technical and non-technical internal customers to drive their own analytics and reporting through written and verbal communication skills Experience with enterprise level RDBMS and an expert in SQL Understanding of data models and data warehouse concepts Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python/R) Demonstrated passion for analyzing and understanding complex data sets Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role Ability to work with unstructured data Understanding of statistical data analysis, modelling, and machine learning Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Previous experience with modern public cloud-based data stack, including AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, Tableau Tell Me More Salary Range: $78K-$105K USD plus Bonus DOE* Based in Boulder, CO or Remote (USA) Competitive health benefits, 401K, plus additional perks including a competitive employee discount Dog friendly offices *In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above.
