Job Description
The purpose of the role is to be the link between the Head of Merchandising & the Merchandising departments at Rapha, whilst also planning & trading the Lifestyle department. Working alongside the Product Teams ensuring a balanced and commercial product range, which achieves the brand and departmental strategy. Working with trading teams to maximise sales and profit opportunities.
The Role:
Manage the Merchandising department’s Planning & Trading processes
Working with the Head of Merchandising to collate & report on Planning & Trading
Deputies when needed for the Head of Merchandising
Range Planning, review pasts seasons performance and build learnings into future ranges
Manages Margin in line with company strategy & department plan
Trading & Commercial Awareness, maximizing sales & profit whilst minimizing markdown
Stock Management, maintaining stock availability on all key styles
In season WSSI & OTB management, producing re-forecasts of sales/stock/profit for review
Customer & Brand Awareness, shows awareness of the customer & brand profile & reflects this in all decisions
Build an effective and motivational team environment, developing and progressing Assistant Merchandisers and Merchandising Admins inspiring them to achieve their best
The Candidate:
Must have experience running multiple departments both Planning & Trading
Experience in reporting directly into Senior Management whilst also managing a large team
Experienced in Range Planning
Experienced in forecasting & managing OTB
Strong analytical, numerical and Excel Skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
A Flexible and enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work to strict deadlines
Proactive approach to problem solving
