Job Description

Retail Copywriter

Trek is looking for a Retail Copywriter who thrives in a team environment and can write dazzling headlines, snaplines, ad copy, and marketing emails under the pressure of tight deadlines.

You’ll sit on Trek’s Brand Creative team and work closely with Trek Retail to communicate the events, campaigns, and special offers happening at our ever-growing family of retail locations and partners around the world.

This includes writing emails for in-store events, social posts for group rides, signage for sales, coupons, web ads, and more. You'll also be responsible for store opening assets, including new store bios, grand opening event communications, and landing page updates.

It’s right for you if…

You’re a natural problem solver who can work fast and keep cool when the heat is on.

You bring positivity and good energy to even the most challenging, turn-and-burn environment.

You write short, punchy lines people remember.

You’re nimble, you G.S.D., and when there’s an obstacle in your way you can adjust your approach, turn on a dime, and ask for change.

You can balance multiple projects at once and make fast edits based on feedback from other team members.

You thrive on a team of enthusiastic co-workers, and you’re committed to the success of your customers.

Your organizational skills are the envy of your friend group. You meet deadlines. Every one.

You believe this quote to be the truth of all truths, and you don’t have to look it up to know who wrote it: “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter—it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.”

Production copywriting for print and digital Trek retail marketing content, including emails, event newsletters, point of purchase collateral, posters, and more.

Proofreading and copyediting video walkthrough scripts, press releases, articles, and editorial content.

Other production-related copy needs.

Ability to produce short, clean, soulful copy at a ridiculously fast pace

Strong experience working on a team, with a history of producing great work under deadline

Experience writing for an agency or in-house marketing department

Portfolio of work
