Our Talent Acquisition team is seeking a recruitment generalist to join our growing team in Waterloo, Wisconsin. Recruiters at Trek Bicycle are strategic partners to both our team members and customer groups they support. Their day-to-day includes brainstorming, experimenting, collaborating and the relentless pursuit of top talent. This position will primarily focus on recruitment and assisting other recruiters with sourcing for harder to fill roles at HQ.
What you’ll do
Source Talent: Identify, source and engage candidates through creative and innovative sourcing approaches. Utilize platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn to scout talent that aligns with the objectives of the hiring managers. Manage LinkedIn messages and communication with candidates. Coordinate events when necessary for an effective and efficient interview process.
Evaluate and Hire Talent: Identify and connect with top talent for the open roles. Review and pre-screen resumes. Conduct phone and in-person interviews to determine the candidate’s culture fit, experience, and knowledge as it relates to position requirements. Manage ATS organization, diligently track the progress of candidates and provide the appropriate communication as they proceed through the evaluation process. Make offers and assist with onboarding of new hires. All of this should be conducted with passion for a spectacular candidate experience and a mission for putting the best team on the field. This is imperative to our success.
Develop a Strategy: Partner with Trek’s hiring managers to understand their organization, their challenges, and what makes a successful hire in their group. Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events and sourcing campaigns. Constantly promote Trek as an employer of choice.
Provide Incredible Hospitality: Ensure consistent communication regarding recruiting efforts by providing status updates to all involved in the hiring process. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the full recruiting cycle (i.e. communicate status, answer questions and coordinate all follow-up efforts). Realizing that not everyone will be hired, remain positive, honest, and upbeat with every candidate.
Train: Conduct trainings surrounding recruitment processes and software best practices for hiring managers in all levels of the business. This may include one-on-one or group training sessions. Be dynamic and engaging when training, while being flexible to varying degrees of training needs. Be constantly learning – consistently collaborate with the team to improve your skills and the skills of those around you.
Continuously Improve: Partner cross-functionally to help build programs in employment brand, recruiting brand, and diversity hiring initiatives. Seek to understand what can be improved and actively request feedback. We are open to new ideas from anywhere.
Position Requirements:
- Experience sourcing, identifying, recruiting, evaluating and hiring talent
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-sufficient – able to efficiently and effectively work with little direct supervision
- High level of organizational skills, detail-oriented
- Confidence – not easily thrown and ability to think on your feet
- Inquisitive nature – have a strong desire to learn
- Positivity – upbeat, even when faced with adversity
